Lost Workout Motivation? Here’s How to Get it Back

Finding Workout Motivation Has Been Challenging

This year has affected everyone in more ways than one. We’ve been impacted mentally, emotionally, energetically, financially, & physically. The energy of 2020 in general has been pretty heavy & low. That heavy energy is absorbed by your energetic body whether you’re aware of it or not. What’s absorbed by your energetic body shows up on your physical body. Many people, myself included, have noticed a massive dip in workout motivation because of this. It’s not just because gyms have been closed either. It’s because when you’re feeling down you don’t really feel like moving a lot. That, plus we’re all thinking… what’s even the point?

If this sounds like you, you are not alone! Finding workout motivation has been a challenge for EVERYONE this year, including me. Let me tell you a little bit about my personal experience with this so that you know you’re in good company.

My Personal Experience

If it weren’t for the deep connection that I have with my body, I would most likely be dealing with significant weight gain. I spoke a lot about my relationship with my body in the last episode, which you can listen to here. This massive decrease in exercise would have negatively influenced my body a lot more than it has if I didn’t trust my body. But thankfully it’s been able to handle it by making adjustments to balance it all out.

Here’s how much this collective energy shift has affected me. I went from working out 5-7 days a week to only 3 days a week. It’s been a huge adjustment for my body & my metabolism. But I think we can all agree that finding the energy or motivation to move has been near impossible. And it has everything to do with the collective energy of humanity. It’s a lot heavier than usual.

Energy is Everything

The energy of the world, with the current climate of COVID-19 & tyrannical lockdowns, is very low vibrating. It’s bogged down by the energies of anger, fear, frustration, anxiety, depression, stress, resentment, & all those “negative” emotions nobody wants to feel. We’re empathetic (energetic) beings. We’re all connected. So you feel these energies whether you’re aware of it or not. You feel them even if you don’t personally have a reason. We’re all connected through what’s called collective collective consciousness. The same energy that created the entire Universe created all of us. Your energetic body is impacted even if just one person feels a certain way. It’s significantly impacted when it’s millions of people feeling those negative emotions. So your energy is brought down by the lower vibration of the collective energy.

I’m known for saying one phrase more than others, and that phrase is “Energy is Everything.” Everything is created from energy. The energy that you’re vibrating at is what’s attracting & creating your own life experience. I explain this in depth in episode 003, which you can listen to here. If you’re walking around feeling miserable all the time, it’s impossible to create a life that gives you joy. Like attracts like. So if your own personal energetic frequency is lower, your motivation to exercise is compromised.

It’s More Than Just Workout Motivation

It’s not just your motivation to exercise that’s compromised. When you’re vibrating at a lower energetic frequency, your entire body vibrates lower. For example, I’ve needed twice the amount of sleep that I normally do throughout this whole thing. Normally I function optimally on only 5-6 hours of sleep. I’ve always been that way. But I’ve needed anywhere from 10-12 hours since the lockdowns started, & that’s been a really difficult adjustment. Another example is your immune system. If you’re absolutely terrified of COVID, your likelihood of getting it skyrockets. You attract what you fear. Your reality becomes what you focus on.

How to Get Back on Track

Getting back on track is a lot more simple than you think. You just have to shift your energy. Lift your energy back up to a higher frequency where exercise is something you want to do. Easier said than done though, right? You need to release the negative energy that’s weighing you down first. You can’t just pretend like you aren’t feeling low. All that does is create more heaviness that gets trapped in your body. We want to release all that now so that you’re free of it. There’s only one way to do to that. You have to feel your emotions. I know that sounds scary, especially if you’ve been numb to your feelings for years or decades. But I promise you it’s just temporary. You won’t be stuck there. You have to feel to heal.

So the first thing to do is to notice how you’re feeling in this moment, and acknowledge whatever you’re feeling is real. It just needs to be acknowledged. It just needs to be felt and experienced. And then it will lift. It will go away. Emotions are just energy in motion. They just need to be felt. They just need to be acknowledged. So you need to feel. If you’re pushing it away, if you’re suppressing it, stop. And give your body what it needs. Allow yourself to feel, allow yourself to cry.  Let yourself scream your head off if you need to.

Emotions are Just Energy

Those emotions are there to tell you something needs to be addressed. It’s your job to address it! There are two ways to move energy out of the body. One is through sound, the other is through movement. Use your voice. Scream if you’re angry. Cry. Sing. Laugh. Seriously just use your voice & move it out. Movement here might sound weird since I’ve been talking about how motivation is nonexistent. But it doesn’t have to be exercise. BREATHE. Use your breath. Just breathe new energy in & exhale the old out. But movement & sound are the only two ways to release energy. A lot of people say punching a pillow works for them. For me, scribbling super hard on a piece of paper works well. I know that’s weird, but it’s true!

We’re taught that feeling our emotions is a sign of weakness, but it’s not. It’s actually a sign of strength. It takes a great deal of courage & strength to be vulnerable. Stop pretending like everything’s okay when it isn’t. Stop trying to be so strong for everyone else. You can’t be your best when you’ve got suppressed pain in your body. You need to let it out. If you still feel uncomfortable, ask yourself what you think feeling a certain way means about you. It doesn’t mean anything except for the meaning that you give it.

Manifest New Workout Motivation

Once you feel the emotions that have been weighing you down you’ll instantly feel lighter. That’s a great first step! Now you need to focus on what you want to create. What’s the new experience that you want for yourself? You’re looking for new workout motivation. Recall the steps from episode 003, Biggest Manifestation Secrets Revealed!, and apply them to this.

The bottom line is this is all energetic. Energy creates everything. You’ve got to be willing to feel. Be willing to change your mind about everything you thought you knew. This is a whole new ballgame, but your whole life gets easier when you master it. This is a learning process. Reconnect with your body. Feel your body. Feel your emotions. Allow yourself to be vulnerable. And then focus on what you want to create. Get into the energy of whatever it is that you want to have. How does it feel? What would it feel like to have that thing right now? And feel it. Embody it. Become it. That’s how you manifest anything. Workout motivation is no different.

You’ve got this! I believe in you. The only question is, do you believe in yourself?
